Take the quiz below to see if you have OCD.

If you can’t seem to control your obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors, don’t jump into a conclusion just yet. Instead, check out the information below.

Relax. It’s easier said than done but when those thoughts and behaviors come haunting you, relax. Take a deep breath and if that doesn’t work, get some sleep. Sleeping is the best way to relax.

Watch your diet. Eat foods that contain zinc. Zinc is a neurotransmitter that can help you manage stress. A diet that contains a healthy amount of zinc can help control OCD symptoms.

Appreciate yourself more. When compulsive thoughts and obsessive behaviors start to cripple you, try to stop them by appreciating yourself more. Lift yourself through positive affirmations. Give credit to yourself because you really deserve it.

Exercise more. The strenuous physical workout you get from exercising can really divert those compulsive thoughts and obsessive behaviors. You will be too exhausted to deal with the thoughts that usually get in the way.

Listen to music. Music can help redirect your thoughts. So, when those obsessive thoughts start to creep in, turn on some music instead.
